About Lily

Hello, my name is Lily. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel seen, heard, and accepted as you are. I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, compassion, and a genuine interest in understanding your story. Rather than assuming one approach works for everyone, I value meeting you where you are and working together at a pace that feels comfortable and meaningful.

While I have a special passion for working with children, adolescents, and families, my practice is open to individuals of all ages and backgrounds. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, family and relationship concerns, emotional regulation, self-esteem, life transitions, and cultural or generational expectations. When working with children and teens, I also enjoy partnering with caregivers and considering the relationships and environments that influence their well-being.

My work is informed by Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Feminist Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed practices, and family systems perspectives. I believe our identities, relationships, families, cultures, and lived experiences all shape how we understand ourselves and move through the world.

Areas of interest and focus include:

  • Children, adolescents, adults, and families
  • Anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation
  • Identity exploration and self-understanding
  • LGBTQIA+ affirming care
  • Cultural identity and intergenerational experiences
  • Family conflict and parent-child relationships
  • Trauma, stress, and life transitions
  • Self-esteem, coping skills, and relationship concerns

As a Hmong and queer-identifying therapist, I understand how deeply culture, identity, family, and community can shape our experiences. While I’m not fluent in Hmong, I value my cultural background and the perspective it brings to my work. I strive to provide a culturally responsive and affirming space where clients from all backgrounds feel welcomed, respected, and supported. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, I’d be honored to meet you where you are and walk alongside you toward healing, understanding, and growth.
