I believe that therapy is not one-size-fits-all, but rather it is shaped by your needs and life experiences. It is my purpose to find what sets everyone apart, helping them discover and develop the tools they have within them. Starting therapy can be intimidating and I am here to guide you through your journey of growth. I strive to create a safe space where everyone can feel comfortable acting as their genuine, authentic self.
I am a pre-licensed clinician and completed a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. I incorporate a systemic focus based on my interest in marriage and family therapy. I believe that individuals’ interactions and relationships play an important role in their development. I am interested in working with adults or couples experiencing generalized anxiety, social anxiety, depression, multiracial identity, life transitions, self-esteem, sleep difficulties, and learning to create balance in one's life. I am also passionate about working with individuals through their identity exploration and in creating comfort in one's identity when it does not seem to fit in boxes.
My therapeutic approach is largely shaped by person-centered, humanistic, and internal family systems therapy. I also enjoy integrating techniques from other types of therapy that can best serve the client and meet their needs. I believe it is important to follow your lead, as the client, to find what process works best for you. I enjoy learning from each client, cheering them on, and advocating for them as we work together to reach their goals.
In my free time, I enjoy going on long walks, playing games with friends and family, going to concerts, spending time with my husband and cats, and cooking/baking.
