My name is Abigayle. I am a queer, fat, non-binary, bi-racial therapist interested in co-creating an environment for you to explore what it means to live as your most authentic self. I believe strongly in creating a judgement-free space for you to examine long-held belief systems that have impacted how you move through the world.
I tend to operate within narrative and cognitive behavioral therapy lenses. My goal is to create an environment where you feel safe to be vulnerable and work to give space to all of your needs. I believe in cultivating a space where we are able to be authentically curious about where thoughts and beliefs come from in a nonjudgmental and trauma-informed way. As someone who holds many intersecting identities, I believe in the importance of making space for those identities and the complexities that come with navigating the world with those identities.
I am especially interested in serving clients who are:
- Looking to unpack diet culture and its effect on their lives
- Experiencing eating disorders or food and weight-related anxieties
- Navigating gender identity and sexual identity
- Examining belief systems and deconstructing narratives
- Navigating transitional periods of their lives
- Navigating neurodivergent diagnoses and how those diagnoses intersect with their lives
