For the past six years as a Board Certified Music Therapist, I have had the privilege of supporting youth and young adults with a wide range of abilities, identities, and life experiences. Through this work, I have come to understand that meaningful change begins with connection. Relationship, trust, and rapport are at the heart of effective therapy. As a counselor, I now combine my experience building therapeutic relationships with evidence-based counseling approaches to help clients navigate challenges, discover strengths, and move toward their goals.
Areas of Passion and Focus:
- Neurodivergent individuals, including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD+)
- AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) users
- Disabled individuals and their support systems
- LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and families
- Children, adolescents, and young adults
- Strengths-based and identity-affirming care
I provide therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, adapting my approach to meet the unique needs of each person. My work incorporates techniques from play therapy, music therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and narrative therapy, while remaining grounded in person-centered, existential, and feminist perspectives. I recognize that every individual has their own lived experience, communication style, and pattern of attachment, and I strive to create a therapeutic space that is engaging, supportive, and responsive to clients at all levels of development.
I am passionate about meeting people where they are, providing creative and meaningful support, and helping strengthen the connections between clients and the people who matter most in their lives.
Throughout my career, I have cultivated values steeped in authenticity, advocacy, and social justice. I am committed to disability advocacy and work collaboratively with clients and their support systems to foster understanding, improve communication, and strengthen relationships. I view each person through a strengths-based lens and support clients in recognizing and embracing their own resilience, abilities, and unique gifts.
As both a member of and advocate for the LGBTQIA2S+ community, I hold particular care for those whose experiences exist outside of cultural norms. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to show up as their authentic selves.
